Here’s a few reasons why our volunteers support the ministry
My daughter is making her 1st Holy Communion in 2019. I felt this was a good opportunity to help introduce Children’s Adoration to her class…after praying and discerning this, we started adoration in her class on a monthly basis in Ballina, Co. Mayo. Children’s Prayers are so powerful. This Ministry is a great blessing for our parish and diocese. I thank God for Children of the Eucharist.

Children’s adoration touched my heart the first time I saw it take place in Knock. It was so beautiful to see these young souls adoring Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Now that it is established in our own parish we, as parents and volunteers, have the privilege to witness and take part in this amazing interaction between Jesus and the children and I know that Children of the Eucharist will spread the fire of love for Jesus around the world.

It is our responsibility to impart the love that Jesus has for children and show He is always there for them. The joy on children’s faces when they realise that Jesus is real and truly present in the Blessed Sacrament and in their hearts, is worth every effort in the work of Children of the Eucharist. Children are starving for spiritual nourishment. Children of the Eucharist is coming to know the love of Jesus truly alive in the Eucharist and living in their hearts.

In our Parish, we are blessed to have Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration. My husband & I, and our two children visit Jesus frequently in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. When I became aware of the COTE ministry I was immediately enthralled.
I can only describe this ministry of bringing children to Eucharistic Adoration, as the closest to having heaven on earth.
This beautiful ministry of seeing Jesus through the eyes of the child, as they grow to love Jesus & become a light for all.
I read recently, if Jesus were better known in the Blessed Sacrament, earth would be brighter and Heaven nearer.

I met Antoinette, Aoife and Helen at Craig Lodge, in Scotland. While listening to them, I was thinking that it would be amazing if the children of Scotland could also spend time with Jesus in adoration. And I offered my help to Antoinette. It is a dream come true to see the children and their teachers come in front of Jesus every month. Most of the time, all the leaders are in tears to see so much love flowing from Jesus to the children. What a blessing for us all!
As a mother, out of all the things I can give to my own children, adoration is the most valuable one.
